A Kid’s Place is currently recruiting for a Donations Coordinator. This position is responsible for processing in-kind donations to support the mission of the organization.
The Donations Coordinator will report to the Community Engagement Supervisor. This position is part-time and flexible with the hours inside Monday through Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm, hourly and non- exempt.
Pay range is $17/hour

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for receiving donations and providing tax receipts to donors.
- Oversee the donation room by managing the inventory and through the utilization of volunteer support.
- Provide ongoing training of volunteers for the donation room.
- Communicate with potential donors regarding items to be donated, as well as, planned deliveries of donations.
- Support the development department during drives and special events.
- Display schedule and duty flexibility during the holiday season.
- Demonstrate a positive and respectful attitude with interacting with staff and donors.
- Be an effective team member when working with staff and volunteers, ensuring the engagement and motivation of others.
- Represent A Kid’s Place in a positive, professional manner.
- Other duties assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to pass a Level 2 FDLE background screen, drug screen, and local background screen upon initial hire and annually thereafter.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and eligibility for acceptance by the company’s insurance carrier.
- Reliable in arriving on time and ready to perform job duties, with flexibility to work all assigned shifts and hours.
- Maintain a professional demeanor to clients, staff, and external parties.
- Must be culturally sensitive and able to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel and children.
- Strong time-management abilities with a demonstrated capacity to multi-task efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with all employees while complying with EEOC rules and accepting constructive feedback from management in a professional manner.
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one years experience working in a similar work setting.
Physical Requirements:
- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking and climbing stairs
- Frequent stooping, kneeling and reaching
- Frequent use of hands and fingers
- The ability to hear and respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to communicate effectively with others
- Close, distance and peripheral vision
